Public Tours of the newly renovated historic 1926 Sarasota Opera House

Sarasota Opera's public tours of its facility offers a behind the scenes look at opera production. The one and a half hour tours will be given Mondays at 10:30 AM March 10 to to April 7, 2008. Alternatively, a tours can be scheduled (provided that there are at least six participants in your group) by making special arrangements through the Box Office. The cost is $12 per person. In 1927 Sarasota Opera House was known as the Edwards Theatre.

 

 

 

 

 

Here is a view of the Opera House prior to the recent renovation. It currently has 1,192 seats and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
