How to find Sarasota Opera House

The historic Sarasota Opera House is located at 61 North Pineapple Avenue,just across the street from the Main Library, in the heart of downtown Sarasota.

From I-75, take exit 210 then travel west on Fruitville Road (toward the beaches). You’ll take Fruitville all the way across town, past Highway 301, Orange Avenue and Lemon Avenue to Cocoanut.

Turn left onto Cocoanut. Make a second (almost immediate) left onto Pineapple, which angles into Cocoanut. Pineapple will take you right up in front of the Opera House, where valet parking is available for all Opera events one-hour prior to curtain.

Palm Avenue

Located northwest of the Palm Avenue and Main Street intersection, just behind the Opera House. As of February 6, 2018, new parking rates go into effect. The first three hours are free. After that there is a $3 charge and $1 for each additional hour. Take a ticket when you enter the garage and keep it with you. For easiest exit, pay before you return to your car. Payment machines take both cash and credit card. Please refer to sarasotagov.org for more details and updates.

Plaza at Five Points

$2 per hour, up to $6 maximum. Located at 50 Central Avenue: entrance on 1st Street.

100 Central Avenue

Free public parking on the 2nd floor only. 4-hour limit. Entrance on 2nd Street.

Important Note
Please do not park in the parking lot of the William G. Selby Library or in the ground floor lot adjacent to the Whole Foods Market, as you may be towed.

Valet Parking

Valet Parking is available in front of the Sarasota Opera House one hour prior to curtain. Please be prepared for a brief wait following the performance for your car to arrive. Tipping is encouraged.

NEW: i-Ride Service

The City of Sarasota launched a ride service called i-Ride. The six passenger electric vehicles provide free point to point transportation within certain boundaries. This service is great for those who are staying in a downtown hotel or park further away from the Opera House. To learn more about the program, click here to visit the city's website.
