Andrew Gangestad made his Sarasota Opera debut as Banquo in the 2003 production of Macbeth and returned in 2005 as Leporello in Don Giovanni, the role he reprised in 2011.  He returns to Sarasota Opera for the 2012-2013 season in the roles of Nourabad in Bizet's The Pearl Fishers and Candy in Floyd's Of Mice and Men.

In 2010-11 Andrew Gangestad returned to the Metropolitan Opera for its production of La fanciulla del West and the title role in Le nozze di Figaro in a return to Lyric Opera of Kansas City.  He made his debut with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis as Commendatore in Don Giovanni, and appeared as soloist in Verdi's Requiem with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

In the 2009-10 season Andrew Gangestad returns to Lyric Opera of Kansas City to sing Leporello and to Arizona Opera as Colline in La bohème, sings Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with both the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, and the title role in Le nozze di Figaro at the Macau International Music Festival. In the summer of 2010 he returns to the Bregenz Festival to reprise the role of Ramfis in Aida. His 2010-11 season currently includes a return to the Metropolitan Opera for its production of La fanciulla del West, Verdi’s Requiem with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and the title role in Le nozze di Figaro with Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

In recent seasons Mr. Gangestad made returns to both the Metropolitan Opera to sing Brander in La Damnation de Faust and to Minnesota Opera as Ferrando in Il trovatore. He also made his debut with Arizona Opera as Leporello, performed the role of Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Opera Cleveland, and Méphistophélès in Scenes from Goethe’s Faust with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. Other highlights include his debut with Welsh National Opera as Ramfis in Aida, return engagements to the Metropolitan Opera as Tom in Un ballo in maschera, Colline in La bohème, and Ceprano in Rigoletto, to Opera Pacific as Colline, Michigan Opera Theatre as Rodolfo in La sonnambula, and Kentucky Opera as Timur in Turandot. Mr. Gangestad made his debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra under James Levine singing Brander in La Damnation de Faust in Boston and at Carnegie Hall – a role which he reprised at the Beethoven Festival in Warsaw.
