Mr. Thomas recently performed his seventh return engagement with the Des Moines Metro Opera festival as Gemont in Verdi’s La traviata. He will spend most of the fall months in Canada with company débuts for both Opera Lyra and Pacific Opera Victoria (POV). He will first bow as Scarpia in Puccini’s Tosca in Ottawa, and then will perform his first Richard Wagner outing as Alberich in Das Rheingold in Victoria, British Columbia. In early November, he will sing a solo recital entitled “If Music be the Food of Love” in Winnipeg, Manitoba as part of a fundraising event for the Community Ministries of The Westminster Church of Winnipeg. The second half of his performance season will bring Mr. Thomas to Atlanta Opera in one of his signature roles, Rigoletto. The season fills out with a reprisal of Scarpia in performances with the Orlando Philharmonic and Sarasota Opera.
Mr. Thomas’ past performances stretch across America, performing with eminent companies like The Metropolitan Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago. Mr. Thomas remains a favorite artist for the Seattle Opera, Florida Grand Opera, and Arizona Opera.
