Mr. Ramírez returns for his second season with Sarasota Opera having made his debut in the 2009 Winter Opera Festival production of The Elixir of Love. He has captivated audiences with his performances of Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Alfredo in La traviata, Lázaro in the World Premier of Before Night Falls, and Mr. Owen in Postcards from Morocco. Last season, as a member of The Opera Institute at Boston University, he added Rodolfo in La bohème and Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia to his repertoire.  He has sung in concert at various venues including the Palacio de Bellas Artes and Teatro Degollado, in México and with Opera Santa Barbara, UCLA and Opera in the Ozarks.

Recently he sang at the Boston Pops Opening Night 2007 with Maestro Keith Lockhart, appeared with Boston Lyric Opera for their concert series season, took part in an opera gala with New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and appeared in La Vestale by Mercadante in Toronto with Opera in Concert .

He has won first prize in The Giulio Gari Competition, The Performing Arts Foundation Competition and from the Profant Foundation.  He received awards from The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, The Léni Fé Bland Foundation, The Opera Reading Club of Hollywood Foundation and The Society of Singers.
