Youth Opera
Sarasota Youth Opera is a year-round program for young people from ages 8-18. This unique program which immerses the participants in every aspect of opera production accepts all who apply.

Sarasota Opera's mission includes the mandate "to entertain, enrich, and educate our communities, as well as patrons from across the state and around the world." We take this commitment very seriously. Through a multitude of education and outreach programs we provide opportunities for all members of our community to share our passion for the operatic art form.
Sarasota Opera offer numerous programs throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties and beyond. During our fall season dedicated artists perform in a variety of community, social, and civic settings. We also offer a number of free performances during the fall and the Winter Opera Festival.
Our programs for youth are some of the most innovative and respected in the country. The Sarasota Youth Opera offers young people from ages 8-18 an opportunity to explore every facet of operatic performance. They perform in choral settings, pariticpate in the mainstage opera season, and mount their own dedicated opera production of a work designed for young people to perform. Our OPERA-tion program also brings thousands of young people into the theater each year to enjoy a fully staged operatic performance.
