Sarasota Opera is proud to be part of a new online site for philanthropic shopping, Gulf Coast Gives. The art of opera takes many elements to produce and this website is a way for non-profit organizations to ask for funding for specific projects so donors see exactly where their money is going! Projects that have already been funded include new Screw Gun Kits for our production crew and airfare for the artist performing the title role of Madama Butterfly. Your support of this unique program provides a tangible philanthropic experience knowing exactly how your money was spent.

HELP US PURCHASE A 36” CHAU SYMPHONIC GONG
There isn’t a more identifiable sound than the crash of a gong. Many operas require the unique ring, but hitting a trash can lid with a mallet doesn’t have the same effect! Our Opera Orchestra’s percussion equipment takes a beating each season (literally) and we need a new 36” Symphonic Gong. Your support will be heard throughout the theater each time the instrument is struck.
