Music lovers will have the unique opportunity to be on stage with the singers starring in Sarasota Opera’s fall production of Verdi’s La traviata. In Sarasota Opera’s “Up Close, Informal, On Stage” the artists will present a program of their favorite arias and songs while the audience will be seated around them on the stage of the William E. Schmidt Opera Theater of the Sarasota Opera House.
This intimate event will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8 p.m.
Soprano Lina Tetriani, tenor Edgar Ernesto Ramírez, and baritone Marco Nisticò accompanied by pianist Kristen Kemp, will perform popular highlights from opera, song literature, and music theater. Between selections they will chat with Artistic Director Victor DeRenzi about their lives as a singer. In addition, the audience seated on the stage with them, will have the opportunity to ask questions. All attendees are then invited to an informal reception following the performance.
There are only 150 seats available to this unique event which is priced at $60. The post-performance reception, which is made possible by Fiduciary Trust, is included in the ticket price.
