Donor Benefits

Sarasota Opera is extremely grateful for our donors, and we thank them for their generosity! There are many benefits to being a member of one of our giving programs, from special recognition to unique experiences. Please click below to learn about these and other ways we hope to show our appreciation.

Please note that the 2020-21 Season donor benefits have been modified to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our patrons, artists, and staff. These modifications include:

  • The Coffee and Lecture with a Company Member will be a virtual event.
  • The Q&A Talk with Maestro DeRenzi will be a virtual event.
  • Dress rehearsals are closed this season. Donors will instead receive invitations to exclusive daytime performances of each opera that feature the cover artists.
  • The Meet the Artists Reception is canceled this season.
  • The Opera Club will be closed this season. Members should have received communications outlining the transfer of memberships to next season and their options for a refund (deadline to request a refund is February 1, 2021).
  • The Double Co-Producer Dinner will be held on stage at the Sarasota Opera House on March 12, 2021 at 5:30pm. Double Co-Producers and higher will receive an invitation.
  • The Co-Producer Dinner on Stage has been combined with the Co-Producer Luncheon and will be held at Michael’s on East on April 12, 2021 at 11:30am. Co-Producers at all levels will receive an invitation.
  • The McCorkle Lounge will be open for drinks only prior to each performance, and admission is limited to Co-Producers and their spouse or partner to avoid overcrowding.
  • Due to the different nature of the program this season, all Youth Opera Donor benefits are suspended except for Program Book recognition and a thank you note from a Youth Opera member. A special benefit will be added, and Youth Opera Donors will receive an invitation for a unique virtual experience.

All benefits will be restored in the 2021-22 Season. Please contact Development Operations Officer Elizabeth Valkanas with any questions at (941) 366-8450, ext. 231 or at [email protected].
