Health and Safety The Sarasota Opera House understands and shares your health and safety concerns. At the present time, the following guidelines are in place at the Sarasota Opera House for all events, to keep our audiences safe. 1. Based on guidance by the CDC and the initiative of #SafeArtsSarasota, as of September 26, 2021, the following policies will be implemented: All patrons age 12 and older attending a performance indoors must show either: A negative PCR COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 72 hours before the time of their performance OR A negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 24 hours prior to the time of their performance. Home testing kit results will not be accepted for entry. If patrons prefer, CDC or other official vaccination record showing the patrons are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (at least 14 days since the final dose) may be voluntarily presented at the door as an acceptable alternative to negative COVID-19 test results. Both physical and electronic presentation of documents (e.g., an image on a smartphone) will be accepted. Photo identification must accompany the presentation of all documents. All patrons age 6 and up, regardless of vaccination or testing status, must wear masks over their nose and mouth at all times while inside the venue. 2. All seats will be reserved for performances at the Opera House, including our HD at The Opera House and Classic Movies at The Opera House series. You must use your reserved seat and may not switch seats without the assistance of the house manager. 3. Print your tickets at home or receive a ticket on your mobile device. Ticket scanning as you enter the theater will limit your contact with our ushers and staff. 4. The main Box Office can be accessed by phone (941) 328-1300 and email: [email protected] Monday-Friday, 10am - 5pm. The box office windows are currently open for walk-up purchases Monday - Friday 10am-5pm. Masks are required. 5. Sanitizing stations have been installed in the theater and we have optimized the air conditioning system to provide better airflow and filtration. We have installed bi-polar ionization technology to eliminate viruses and germs. Signage will be placed in key locations around the theater to guide you and help keep you, your fellow patrons, our artists, and our staff safe. Protocols will be revisited and may be revised based on CDC guidance and the evolving circumstances of the pandemic, including use of additional screening protocols. What is Safe Arts Sarasota?
