Box Office Information

The Sarasota Opera Box Office is located under the green awning at 61 N. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota.

Current Box Office Hours:

Due to the current health emergency and state-mandated "Safe at Home" order
Sarasota Opera staff are working remotely.
You may still contact us at [email protected] or (941) 328-1300
(please leave a message and your call will be returned during business hours)

If you hold tickets to performances that were canceled, please contact us by phone, email, or online at your earliest convenience to let us know if you want to donate the tickets or receive a credit.

Please consider donating any tickets for your canceled performances to the Sarasota Opera Relief Fund. Sarasota Opera was one of the first opera companies to commit to paying our artists for canceled performances. By donating your ticket, you will be helping our artists and limiting the financial impact of the cancellations to the company.

Your ticket donation is a tax-deductible contribution* and as a thank you for your support, you will be able to view the four operas of our season: La bohème, Romeo and Juliet, The Elixir of Love, and La Wally online for a limited time.

Please use the online form below, call our box office at (941) 328-1300, or email at [email protected].

*The CARES Act, recently passed by Congress, provides a universal deduction for contributions made in 2020, including ticket donations, of up to $300, even for taxpayers who do not itemize. Additionally, for the tax year 2020, Congress has lifted the existing cap on annual contributions for itemizers from 60% to 100% of Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

Online ticketing is available 24 hours a day. The Sarasota Opera Box Office accepts Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover for all purchases.

Student and Teacher Rush:

Student rush tickets for $10 go on sale at the box-office one-half hour prior to a performance. These are subject to availability and may be purchased by students 22 years old and under, with a valid student ID. Teachers with an active teacher ID can also purchase rush tickets.

Refund Policy, Exchanges, and Ticket Donations:

All sales are final, and we are unable to offer refunds. Tickets may be exchanged for a performance of the same opera (subject to availability) on a different date for a $5.00 service charge 48 hours before the exchanged performance. Tickets that cannot be used can be turned in to the box office as tax-deductible donation up to 1/2 hour prior to a performance.

Sometimes a third-party website or vendor may offer to "broker" tickets for our events to you. Please only purchase Sarasota Opera event tickets directly through us. Sarasota Opera is not responsible for tickets purchased from online resellers (ticket scalpers). Tickets purchased from other sources may be more expensive and invalid. This  year, in order to reduce fraudulent and unofficial ticket activity, we will begin to require our confirmation email or ID at will call.
