Important Parking Update:
As of August 4, 2026: Extended parking enforcement hours, which went into effect June 29, 2026, have been suspended. Streets around the opera house no longer have the 2-hour limitation after 8 p.m. or on Sundays. Palm Avenue Garage (City of Sarasota)

Parking Payment Instructions

Located northwest of the Palm Avenue and Main Street intersection, just behind the Opera House. The first hour is complimentary after registering license plate on App or at Meter, then $2.00 for hours 1-2, then $1.00 for each hour thereafter. Parking is free on Sundays.

The Palm Avenue Garage is gateless. Enter the garage and park (no back-in parking is allowed). You must pay before leaving the garage using the Park Mobile app, the Passport app or Text to Pay. You can also use the Pay Station on the first floor, near the elevator.  You will need to enter your license plate number when paying. If you do not pay in advance or back-in park, you may be ticketed or towed.

100 Central Avenue (City of Sarasota)

Entrance on 2nd Street. Free public parking on the 2nd floor only. 4-hour limit.  Parking is free on Sundays.

111 S. Pineapple Avenue (City of Sarasota)

Entrance at 111 S. Pineapple Avenue. Free three-hour parking.  Parking is free on Sundays.

Plaza at Five Points (Privately owned)

Located at 50 Central Avenue: entrance on 1st Street. $2 per hour, up to $6 maximum.

Note: Please do not park in the parking lot of the William G. Selby Library or in the ground floor lot adjacent to the Whole Foods Market, as you may be towed and/or ticketed.

VALET PARKING

Valet Parking is available in front of the Sarasota Opera House 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to curtain for a $10 charge. Free valet parking is available to Sarasota Opera subscribers and patrons ($100 annually and above). Subscribers and patrons are encouraged to post their Valet Parking static cling decal on the passenger side of their vehicle's windshield to indicate that you a subscriber and/or patron to parking valets.

Please be prepared for a brief wait following the performance for your car to arrive. Tipping is encouraged. (Please note that valet will not be available at weekday matinees or for Classic Movies and Tribute Bands).
