Accessibility

The Sarasota Opera House and Pavilion, with elevator service to all floors, are accessible to physically disabled persons. The William E. Schmidt Opera Theater contains orchestra-level seating that is accessible to persons using wheelchairs; however, due to the historic nature of the theater and local fire regulations, second-floor seating is not wheelchair accessible.

Restrooms

All restrooms in the Sarasota Opera House have facilities for the disabled. There is also a family restroom on the first floor of the Lobby, next to the ticket kiosk.

Wheelchairs

If you need wheelchair-accessible seating, please contact our Box Office directly at (941) 366-8450 ext. 1, so that we may ensure it is available on the night you plan to attend a performance.

Hearing Loop

A Listen FM assistive listening system has been installed for persons desiring amplification. A valid driver's license, state identification, or major credit card is required as a security deposit.

Braille Programs

Braille program materials are available, but must be ordered together with your tickets, at least one month in advance of your first performance date.
