Celebrate the beginning of the Winter Opera Festival with the Sarasota Opera community in a Venetian Carnival where food, drink, and masked merriment take over the Grand Ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The Italian tradition of wearing masks goes all the way back to the Venice Carnival in the 1400s. Set aside your everyday self and revel in community, great opera performances, and fantastic food and wine.

This is your chance to make a fashion-forward statement or don your favorite costume...just remember to add a fabulous mask! The evening includes performances by Sarasota Youth Opera and other special guests. Proceeds support Youth Opera & Education programs and the 2024 Winter Opera Festival.
