TV Instructions

Wired Connections

Using a media cable to connect your internet device to your TV: Every modern TV will have the HDMI input connections to make this process possible.

First, determine which cable is necessary:
Tablet or Smart Phone - iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy Phone or tablet, or other brands connection via charging port on device.

Apple Products:
Most Apple products will use the lightning or thunderbolt interface for this purpose. Apple sells a lightning or thunderbolt to digital audio video adapter for this application (to see where to purchase please click on the dropdown menu below labeled "Where to Acquire Product Suggestions"). In addition to this adapter, you will also need a standard HDMI cable. Connect the HDMI cable to your adapter, and the other end of the cable to your the HDMI input on TV.

Non-Apple Branded Products:
For non-Apple branded products the port on your device may vary. Most newer devices manufactured in the past two years will have the USB C interface to charge and connect. Prior to connecting please confirm your device's charger style. If your device does not use the USB C format, you will need an adapter to convert to HDMI, along with an HDMI cable to connect to your TV.

Laptop Computer:
You may have more than one video connectivity option. The location of your computer's media connections may vary. You might find them on either side or the back of your computer. Many computers already have an HDMI video connect. If that is the case, simply connect an HDMI cable from that port to the corresponding port on your TV.

Otherwise, you may find alternative connections on your computer. In these cases, find a converter from that video format to HDMI at your preferred retailer along with an HDMI cable to connect to your TV.

Once you've connected your device to your TV, find your remote control and search for the source or input button:
Using your remote and this button, select the HDMI video source number that corresponds to the HDMI port number to which you have connected your device.

If you are using a Windows based computer, you will also need to instruct your computer to share its screen using the project feature. To enable this, hold down the windows key on your keyboard and press "P", to enable project mode. This should give you several option to select on your computer screen - pick the "Duplicate" option to mirror your computers content onto your TV.

Smart TV or Smart Devices
If you have a Smart TV or Smart Devices directly connected to your TV that are designed for wireless digital streaming, you may have the option to wirelessly connect to your internet device (please refer to the Amazon Fire Stick, Apple TV, Google Chromecast and Roku dropdowns).
